Why should my organization choose for Mave?
Mave provides a sustainable, efficient and reliable payment system for events. Visitors can easily buy tokens before or during the event and have them immediately at hand on their smartphone. Plastic tokens are outdated. Your organization will get insight into cash flow before the event starts. You also have insight into the behavior of your visitors, due to the multitude of data that is collected.
What will Mave cost me at my event?
The MavePayments app is free for the user and organization. We charge a small service fee when recharging, which is settled afterward.

Depending on the size of your event, we offer two different services: Mave and MavePro.

‍Mave:
‍Mave is suitable for events with up to 1,000 attendees. It provides access to the essential features of the dashboard. Personal phones can be used as scanners behind the bar, with the option to rent our scanners. Enter the expected revenue in the tool on our website to see the costs for your event immediately!

‍MavePro:
‍MavePro is suitable for events of all sizes. It provides access to all the features of the dashboard, our fast scanners, and on-site service during the event. Contact us for a non-binding quote.Want to know more about both services and their costs?

What if there is no internet connection?
In the scenario where the internet connection is lost for a period of time, users can use our flexible balance system. In that case, a direct debit will take place afterwards. This way, visitors can continue to pay without an internet connection. Additionally, internet is only necessary for topping up via iDeal. Otherwise, the app functions completely offline. All data will be updated once there is an internet connection again.
Is service available during the event?
During the event, there is always a fully available staff member present to provide support. The level of availability and the standard of service are predetermined, depending on the size of the event.

How do I get paid?
The revenue from the sale of coins is paid out by our partner PAY.nl. Additionally, as a third-party funds institution, they ensure the safety of your money, so you are always guaranteed your money.
How is the security of te application ensured?
For transactions, we ensure security and privacy by applying strong encryption and strict authentication processes. We comply with relevant regulations such as GDPR and conduct continuous monitoring to quickly identify and address threats. Additionally, we only collect necessary user data.

FAQ Users

How do I create an account in the app?
If you open the Mave app for the first time you get the possibility to create a new account. You can register with email, Apple-account or with your Google-account.
Can I buy tokens before the event starts?
Yes, in fact we encourage you to buy your tokens in advance. The terms for buying tokens in advance can differ per event, keep an eye on the information page on the event site.
Which payment options are available to buy new tokens?
In the Mave app you can buy new tokens with:

Can I get a refund for my unused tokens after an event?
Yes, it is possible to refund your remaining tokens if the event is over. The tokens on the group QR-code will be refunded to the person who created the QR-code. Regarding the refunds there are a couple of conditions that apply. Conditions differ per event and can be found in the info email sent by the event.
How can I add tokens to my QR-code?
Tokens can be bought in the Mave app. After selecting the right event you can choose the option “top up balance”. Here you can buy new tokens.
How can I pay for consumptions with the Mave app?
Go to the bar just like you usually would but instead of paying with a card or plastic tokens, now show your QR-code to the bartender.
How does sharing tokens work?
Besides the personal QR-code Mave also offers a group QR-code. One person of a group needs to create a group QR and is then able to send a specific link to his/her friends. After that, people can join the group by clicking the link. Now everybody can add tokens to the group QR spend them.  

It is also possible to transfer coins from a personal wallet to another personal wallet or a group wallet. Select the number of coins you want to transfer and use your camera to scan your friend’s wallet.
What if the battery of my phone is empty?
If your phone is empty, you can use the group QR on a friend’s phone. Also consider bringing a power bank to your event.
As of when will Mave be available?
Mave will be launched in December 2024
